If you live in the centre of Llangattock, look out for a survey form which will arrive through your letter box before the end of the week.
The survey will be delivered to homes where residents would be directly affected if a new residents-only parking scheme were to be introduced on their roads.
The one-page form will be accompanied by a detailed question and answer document, which can be viewed below or downloaded by clicking this link. https://www.llangattock-cc.gov.wales/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Llangattock-Residents-Parking-Scheme-no-form-Survey.pdf
Parking was one of the biggest issues raised in the recent Place Plan consultation, so options need to be explored.
The highways authority, Powys County Council, controls off-street parking and its scheme is the only one available.
Llangattock Community Council has no power over on-street but does control the car park opposite St Catwgs Church, which is also included in the consultation.
Residents living in these areas will have to decide whether they want such a scheme to be introduced, as it would be restrictive for residents as well as visitors.
Anyone living outside the area on the map will have an opportunity to comment later if a significant number of those within say they want a residents-only parking scheme.
